This manip is brought to you by the blend tool.
When you just can't get those fucking eyes to look right, there's the blend tool.

If you can't tell, read the whole left side first, then the right (I tried for a long time to figure out the best way to place the text and settled for this).

*giggle* "Mindwipe-Senpai". I'm someone's senpai? That just tickles me. XD

Anyway, what I basically did here was use the blend tool in GIMP to make these eyes. I used the color picker tool to pick the lighter color and darker color of the eyes and made them my foreground and background color. Then I painted the inside of the eyes a solid color, and used the fuzzy select tool to select the irises. Then, with the lighter color as the foreground and darker as background, I used set the blend tool to "FG to BG", and blended an area from the bottom of the irises to about the top-middle. Then, I clicked "Select", and "Grow", and increased my selection by 1 pixel. Then used the Gaussian Blur filter at 1 pixel to make sure the borders didn't look too jagged.

There's actually a lot more touch-up stuff that went into it, but that's the gist of it. It would take too long to explain everything here. I guess I really do need to consider making tutorials.

I also added the no-text version to child posts, if anyone prefers that.
