I am not proud of this one at all. An hour into working on it and getting frustrated with my inability to get the eyes looking good I just decided to post it because I didn't want to sacrifice the time I spent.

Coincidentally, I downloaded this CG set with the original intention of manipping this image, but I ended up losing interest in it.

Yaknow, it does not look that bad. Honestly, the eyes are set in well and the way the paint goes from dark to light from top to bottom.. it fits the image, the uncertain look on her face, the hesitation - it fits a slowly darkening presence within her mind. I believe it's a great piece of work and a worthy addition to the site - you should be proud that you are able to do this much. It slightly scares me to think what you would have looking good be if this is not it. So basically, good job and keep up the good work, if you would.

It's not that hard to imagine. Looking at the pic, I'd guess that bellchan's biggest problem was with the eye borders, which are always hard to get right, especially when you do that much smudging inside of them.

In the end, being dissatisfied with your work is frustrating (like bell said), but not necessarily a bad thing. It shows that you care and that you want to get better. It's only bad if you give up completely.
