Shadowcal, were you trying to do a glow effect on the blonde's eyes? It looks a little... strange. Her left eye has way more color than her right. A few tips on how I make a glow effect:

First choose the color you want, and set your brush opacity to a lower setting. The exact level will depend on the color you choose. Try 30%, or 50%, turn it up to 70% if it still looks too subtle. Use a brush that fades out from center. In the old version of GIMP, it was called "circle fuzzy", not sure what it's called now (and don't know what Photoshop has), but basically it's a circle that fades at the edges. Pick the largest size available for that brush, and set your scale a bit higher than you think you'll need. Brush over the irises, and go JUST outside them, to make the glow look more authentic. I generally try to go slightly more outside them on the side furthest from the nose.

And, of course, make sure you use the same color settings for both eyes (unless you want them to be different colors, I guess). It make take some trial and error, but since you can do it in one stroke, you can just "undo" and try again.

Sorry, I'm new to this. What I did was lasso select the area around the eyes, changed the color through one of the toolbars, and then blurred the selection. I probably should've pit more focus on color than blur. Either way, thanks! It's awesome to get advice from a pro-manipper.

Happy to help. And, shucks, I don't know if you could really call me a pro. There really aren't many areas of manipping that I'm particularly experienced with. I just do this on occasion for fun and pleasure. ^^

I'd like to have a manippers' workshop in the forums for folks to share their tips/tutorials/resources and for newcomers to ask for advice. Unfortunately, previous attempts by others to make a thread like that have all died due to lack of activity.
