Do you have a nice picture you care about but it has some digital-related quality issues? Well, I'm no artist to fix artistical quality issues, but I could help with some filtering.

Recently I upsampled a pic (before/after: http://img.booru.org/hypno/image...d7eb2ae90a6c25ffcca60.jpg / http://img.booru.org/hypno/image...4057bcee32c1168b7e120.jpg ), just cause it's fun, and that made me think, maybe you guys have some picture which is actually great (unlike that one), except the quality is sore.

Or maybe just want me to see if I can help you with some non-hypno related picture that's somehow special to you, so it's a special kind of request thread :)

Anyway, stuff I'm more or less confident in:

- Upsampling a pic using a neural network (i.e., better than what you get with Photoshop)
- Taking out JPEG artifacts
- More general denoising
- De-blurring, i.e., deconvulsion*
- Advanced sharpening techniques
- Restoring color balance
- Pattern removal (such as stripes on top of the image)
- Video stabilization (making a shaky video stable)
- Getting one good frame from several bad frames in a video
- Perspective correction
- Un-distortion / un-skewing

* that stuff, deconvulsion, usually the effects are poor, but it helps if text is somewhat unreadable otherwise. Here's a gallery with a couple before/afters that I made, with lens blur and motion blur: http://imgur.com/a/4PIZs

So yeah, I may not be here too frequently, but I'll take a look at this thread now and then. I may also not take a request if you just pick some random crappy image off the web (there are so many...), I'm interested in helping you with something you care about :)

It is not only twice as large but sharper, which was particularly difficult considering that I didn't want to make the already-considerable JPEG artifacts more noticeable.

There's not much he can do with that kinda thing, deathwish. Mindwipe's complaint was about the general lack of shading, for the most part, in that pic's models, causing some issues with perceiving the borders of clothing and hair (as he said, it all looks like it's one object).

What Stem_Cell can do is resize and change the general quality of the entire pic itself. So, for example, in his first post, he smoothed out the pixels in that pic.

What the poser pick you needs is more detail, not a once-over for overall color/shape quality.
