What exactly is the difference between a lamia and a naga?

Technically, a lamia is a woman with a snake's body from the waist down. A Naga has snake skin all over their body; sometimes with a tail instead of legs. Also, nagas can be male or female; while lamias are always female.

I feel like "the more you know" thing should be played after that. Although to those who aren't immersed in that sort of thing, it's probably a fairly easy mistake to make.

I actually had my question answered a few months ago on a different image (though not as clearly as that). We decided to use "naga" for the tag, though, so as not to have 2 tags for very similar creatures. I left the "lamia" tag on this pic, since that's the name of this enemy in Final Fantasy.
